It's a hard knock life
Too often in life, people will disappoint you.
They will break promises.
They will abandon you.
Needless to say, when someone leaves us we feel hurt; We think life is nothing but a downward spiral.
We end up getting angry with the people around us and even ourselves.
Find your strength and walk away. |
So what must we do to keep moving forward?
STOP - UNDERSTAND - MOVE ON.
We all have plenty of other people who care about us and who love us unconditionally.
So we just have to forget the ones that forget us.
*Plenty other fish in the sea*

May I suggest to you doing some reading on the Four Noble Truths. Your post resonates with the theme presented in this idea / set of ideas...
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment. I have previously read/researched about these truths ;)
DeleteYou are welcome! I am not sure if I agree with it or not, its just something to consider... I was reading an article recently that stated our minds are bombarded with 2 million stimuli every second, however to cope with life we only process 130. I have seen this in many different passages, I am not sure about the science behind it or the figures but it makes sense... Anyway, it is up to us to pick the right 130 from the 2,000,000 to process... You can either focus on the dark, dull 130 stimuli (or whatever) at one end of the spectrum or go to the other end and pick the most beautiful, inspirational and rewarding 130
DeleteWOW that's a lot! I actually never knew about the 2 million stimuli every second - I'll have to research more about that (Thanks for giving me an idea for my next blog post :D)
Deleteyou're welcome :) I passed through something similar recently and was given this "advice"
ReplyDeleteTwo monks were on a pilgrimage. One day, they came to a deep river. At the edge of the river, a young woman sat weeping, because she was afraid to cross the river without help. She begged the two monks to help her. The younger monk turned his back. The members of their order were forbidden to touch a woman.
But the older monk picked up the woman without a word and carried her across the river. He put her down on the far side and continued his journey. The younger monk came after him, scolding him and berating him for breaking his vows. He went on this way for a long time.
Finally, at the end of the day the older monk turned to the younger one. "I only carried her across the river. You have been carrying her all day."
